Sports History

Texas Tech athletics is important to the Southwest Collection because of parallel manuscript holdings, which includes the Southwest Athletic Conference records. The archive has worked in cooperation with the athletic department to preserve manuscripts and game films, and has hosted receptions to lay the groundwork for interviews. The Bike Ten Club, a local group of ex-Texas Tech athletes, has joined with a number of individuals in graciously supporting this effort.
